Tour/Height: 1.610 Meters

Time: A whole Day but only an One-Hour-Walk

Road-Length: 1.5 Kilometers.

Toilet: There is a Toilet on the Alp. You can find Accessible Toilets at the Public Toiletconstruction in Schladming or at the Eight-Cable-Car “Preunegg Jet” at Reiteralp.

TIP: On the Ursprungalp You can get the best “Steirerkas Nockerl”! Of course You can get also Cutlet and seasonal Meat.

Getting There

Road description: From the B360 Ennstal Highway we take the way from Pichl and drive 8.5 Kilometers through the Preuneggtal to the Mautstreet which costs you 4 Euros per Person (2016). Passing Alps and Brooks we reach the Parking Area at the Ursprungalp.

On an easily Alp-way with little broken stones we take the One-Hour Loop Road beginning at the Ursprungalp.

There come up a lot of Possibilities to Play (for the Kids) or Relax. For example next to the Brooks, at the Pond or at the Waterfall.
It is worth to stop and enjoy the Panorama!

The Ursprungalp is also called „Heidi Alp“ because of the Movie “Heidi” which was filmed back in 1988 exactly on this Alp! Some presentation boards remind You of this. On the Loop Road we can find great Stories about the Alp.
